    Looking for used boat

Hey guys my name is Andrew and im new to the site. Im here because im tired of bumming rides from my friends and being stood up and having to sit at home on those beautiful days when I should be wakeboarding. Im really interested in purchasing a SAN 210 01-04. I was wondering out of those years which one puts out the best wake for the money. Im only planning on keeping this boat till my wife finishes her degree in 2-2.5 years then we are going to buy a new boat, I just really want to be out on the water. I will probably be looking to actually purchase a boat around the new year. Do you get better deals during the riding season's or off season's? Any information would be great. Im only looking to spend around 28-35000. Again thanks and any information is appreciated.

Andrew - I was in the same boat (pun intended) as you earlier this year. If you are looking for a pure wake boarding boat then you have the right model. As far as the years go, most consider the 2003 to be the best year for the 210 SAN. The floor was lowered so you sit a bit further down inside, they have the Faria gauges instead of the problematic digital ones, one of only a few years that offered the push button hatch releases, and a few other features that escape me right now.

NautiqueJeff will likely weigh in here as well. He was a great source of info since he has owned quite a few models and years. The only complaint I have with my boat is the ballast system with the leaky valves, but that will be fixed with some electronic valves over the winter.

You should also be able to find a good 2003 that is in your price range, albeit in the upper range. Good luck and keep searching the forum. You will find lots of good info here, and friendly people as well.

I'm not an expert by any means but I believe the hull for the 210 is the same from 01-03 so the only differences you will find will be cosmetic. I would concentrate on finding a boat with the lowest hours and best paint scheme to help with resale once you decide to upgrade in a couple of years. I bet you can find a really nice 210 for 35k.

My personal favorite is the 2003 SANTE 210... I can't wait to finally have one.

Im pretty much a Newbie wakeboarder still. Ive about got wake2wake down but is the wake of an 03 nautique going to be to advanced for me or will I just get use to it. Some people have told me to get ready to fly high because its going to shoot me in the air. Im sure it will just take some getting use to.

Unless we are surfing, I rarely have my tanks filled. My son rides at a slower speed (18.5 mph) and the wake is respectable without ballast. I have filled the tanks for some more advanced riders that I pull, and the wake is pretty extreme - it is basically a wall of water. From what others have said in different threads, it is something you get used to.

Keep in mind the wake will be dang near the same for 01-03 210 considering they have the same hull. I wouldn't be intimidated. If you want a smaller, more user friendly wake just don't fill the ballast. Ballast is the key to making a big wake. It doesn't matter what brand of boat your on, if you don't have ballast filled the wake will be small. Even with the factory ballast filled the wake will still be somewhat small in IMO. Once you start progressing you'll likely start doubling and possibly tripling your factory ballast... 1.5k - 3k lbs total. The older 210 wake can get very aggressive once you start to sac it out and it caters to a rider that doesn't want a long transition like the Malibu 23 LSV wake. I'm an impatient rider so I like a poppy fast wake.

I have a 2001 SAN one of my friends has a 2003 and the other a 08, the 08 has a much better wake if you can fork out the cash. As for the wake between a 01 and 03, the hull is exactly the same, how you weight the boat and the number of people that you have will determine the wake. The thing that will be the deciding factor is the interior, The 03 is rated to carry one more person. All that said, I have a 2001 SAN, about 500 hrs, 2000 lbs aftermarket ballast, electric ballast pumps, 6 tower speakers (2 Kicker, 4 Tsunami), one sub, and IPod cable. I have a full boat cover and bow cover, a heater and a hot/cold shower, a 7 inch LCD screen built into the ski Mirror (the mirror flips up to revel the TV), Dual axel trailer. Asking $30K if your interested.

I have a 97 snob for sale. I am including a fly high. If you put a fat sack/seat in the back of this boat it is a very good wake board boat. Good luck in your search.
