Wanted 2002-2006 SAN 210

I'm in the market for a SAN 210. I would love to have black in the color scheme... but color any color will work so long as its in good condition. For 02-03 must have the 3 ballast tank option (I'm trying to get away from filling fat sacs!). High hours aren't a big deal so long as its been properly maintained (our 87 2001 Nautique just rolled 1200 hrs and runs like a champ). Location isn't a big deal, I'm a teacher so right now I have the time to make a long drive for a good deal. Would like to stay between $25,000-$35,000.

Would you be interested in a 2001 SAN? I have a charcoal grey one, it's a beauty. My boat is a 9 out of 10, and I have made all the right upgrades. As for the center tank, I run a sac in the ski locker and it works great, I am planning to hard line that sac into the ballast system this winter. Maybe I can help you finish it up. I have been considering a sale but have not decided for sure yet.

Thanks for the post, for right now I'm going to hold out for a newer one with the factory 3 ballast system, but I will keep you in mind if I don't find anything. I have a buddy who has a red air nautique same year as yours and he runs a waterbed mattress in the ski locker with about 10 50# sand bags throughout the boat and the wake is just down right awesome!

You want the older system with just the 2 hard tanks because it is less to remove for when you get fed up with it and replace it with a push-button system with Fly High Pro bags that actually works like it is supposed to. As such, a Super Sport that already has a tower is really the ideal boat, or a SAN or SS where someone has already put in a real ballast system. The 1 and only positive feature of hard tanks is that they can sort of work with fill/empty gauges. The rest is all negative. 1) They always take up space. 2) They do not provide as much ballast as you really want. 3) Most of the hard tank systems on the 210 hull were designed poorly and have or will develop problems, especially the 3 tank system where you can fill or empty each tank by push button on the dash. Jeff has a nice long thread about this. The bottom-line is that there is a reason so many people rip out their hard tanks and replace with a plumbed in bag system.
