Apparently Bronco and I didn't talk to the same person. I spoke with someone from CC customer care, who then asked their marketing and engineering departments. Anyway, it's just a simple supply and demand question, and if they had demand for a certain number of boats, they'll build them. They said it's a pain in the butt to dig out the old molds, but will do so with a "substanial" order. I said I could probably line up 15 buyers; they said it would have to be double that. If someone has a million bucks to invest in a warehouse full of 196's, I'll buy one.

I agree with Cotton too, the 200 is awesome (and I want one bad), it's just really expensive.

Are you still looking for an 09? I have a good friend in the Memphis area with a 09 196 with 100 hours and wants $34,500 for it.

It seems like one of the big reasons so many people want a 196 over the 200 is price, not wake or performance? Is this right? If it is more about the price, why would the 196 cost less to produce?
