I don't want to sound like I am ranting but I am trying to help other people from making a $41k mistake. I was recently drove 10 hours to purchase this boat. Upon arrival the boat was at a marina and you would think the seller would have the boat gone through and ready before our arrival and not 2 hours before. Seller was very pushy, not saying we didn't drag the sale out but you have to becareful when spending $41K. The machanic at the marina seemed to have extreme low knowledge of nautique boats and tried to present he had more. The supposely brand new stereo system was taped together and not functioning (he made attempts to contact the person who installed the system which were failed). Water was pouring out of prop shaft housing, machanic tried to say that was normal, which in fact with after talking to a nautique dealer this is not normal at all. We requested water test and was told it would cost us $150 because he wanted a machanic to go with us after we said we did not want a machanic to go with us (his exact quote was "I pay people to drive my boats"). The boat was said to be used in fresh water, which salt water damage present and machanic tried to say this was from the salt in the air of south fl but this boat was supposely from orlando. In fact he truely has no knowledge of how it was used because this boat is a bank repo (which means there is no warranty on it at all from nautique). He claimed to have upgraded options on boat saying that it wasn't a striped out repo and doesn't buy striped out boats as he pulled up with a striped out bass boat attached to his truck. Cosmetically the boat was in good condition (didn't have the oppertunity to water test so I have no true knowledge of how it faired machanically other than what we saw from a dry run). The prop had visable damage. I'm not saying this isn't a good boat, just not good at $41K when it would cost about $4k to have this boat with 500 plus hours perfect.
Problems we saw:
Water Box bad
Port Ballast pump not working
stereo system not functioning and looked cheaply done
painted trailer had salt water damage and was supposely brand new.
Prop damaged
The Good:
Clean interior
Gel Coat was in good condition
