Hi, I’ve been searching high and low for 8 months now for a 1980-81 Ski Nautique, maybe even a 1979 (last choice) to no avail at all!!!!
I did find one near Lafayette IN at a decent price of $5,500, so drove down to see it (I live in Iowa) and when I got to the guys address and saw the boat, it was in excellent condition. I lifted the engine cover and saw that it had a freshwater hook-up plumbed in and when I asked to hook it up so I could start it to make sure it ran, he refused. Gigantic RED FLAG, so I turned around and drove 8 hrs back home empty handed.
I guess I have found a few in the $5000 - $6000 price range that were in great condition with the owners willing to take the boat for a sea trial but all those have been way out on the east or west coast, to far of a drive for me being I live in Iowa.
Anyway, there wouldn’t be a chance ANYONE might possibly have a nice one on hand without 10,000 hours on it hiding out in a back corner somewhere would there be????? Or possibly a 82-86 2001 Nautique in good shape as a very last resort, again, without 10,000 hours on it??
