99 pro air
Well I must say it appears that not to many like the 99' pro air. I have one and it's a great boat with a very reliable motor in it. I have not skied behind it but I have had it up at 30 mph and have never felt any vibration in fact it was extremely smooth. My PP works outstanding however the previous owner had replaced the original with an 06' PP. This boat is my first nautique so I am working from limited experience. I also don't have the original tower that went with that model. The tower is an 01' tower. Anyway good luck and I hope you find a 99' Pro Air. just my 2 sense!!!

I'll chime in with my $0.02 on the Pro Airs, I own one with a Python engine which I have owned for 3 years now.
I added a custom ballast system last winter and the wakeboarding wake is great, and I can surf behind the boat with a very small crew. Wakesurf wake get better with more people (of course!).
I originally purchased this model thinking I wanted a versatile boat, and kind of stumbled onto the Pro air. I looked at a few Air models, but really liked the combo of the Pro Air I purchased.
I did add the new PP system (6.5 I think, 2007 model), and it works fine for most situations. I'm still messing with settings, but with my boat full of ballast it holds speed pretty well. I slalom behind our boat, and it's no slalom course boat, but it's fine for rec. sets, especially if you like to ski over 32mph.
I haven't experienced a hull slap, but the boat will "porpoise" with the stock rear ballast full at anything over ~36mph, but just empty the ballast, and it goes away.
I've driven a couple of the new 211's and they are very nice boats, but they don't handle like a DD.

1999 Pro Air Python-sold and moved away :-(
