Anyone have a barefoot boom they are looking to get rid of. I have a 97 Ski, so a straight or contoured would probably be ok. Is one better than the other?

I already looked at ski-it-again. There aren't any straight booms listed. I'm keeping my eyes open though. Thanks for the suggestion.2002 Air Nautique GT-40

I've got the same boat and am using a contoured boom, no problems so far. Why straight??'97 SN 176 GT40

I've used a straight boom before. I don't think my engine cover will open if I put the clamp low enough for the contoured boom.2002 Air Nautique GT-40

I actually worked on mine yesterday (replaced bilge pump) with the clamp in place after a morning session-no problems at all. Looks close, but opens and closes with room to spare. I keep the first section of the boom pinned in place with the clamp and also have the Skylon in place as well. I just velcro the first section of the boom to the Skylon in an upward position. Works like a charm plus I only have to attach the boom extension once we've launched.'97 SN 176 GT40
