I still have mine for sale. It has the bend like yours. Should be an ideal fit in your boat. Am I missing something?

No I was the one missing something. I didn't realize that mine had the bend until it was pulled from the boat a couple days ago. I could very well be interested in yours. I have a couple guys that I am talking to now, though, about swapping straight up. I was just trying to figure out what kind of fitment issues I may need to look out for.

I tried to install a straight one from a 96 ski into my 99' ski. It didn't line up correctly.

I realize this is an old post, but in an effort to minimize the spread of bad info...

There is no reason you cant install a straight pylon (used starting around '01?) in place of one that has a bend in it. I have seen straight pylons installed in boats as old as '88. The bend is located a few inches above the floor, so there should be no alignment issues between the cup in the hull, cradle and the hole in the floor. The retaining method at the cup will be slightly different on a new vs. old pylon (u-bolt vs. through bolt) but it will physically install.
