Thanks Jeff. Just not sure I want to drill the tower to install them. Does anyone have any experience with the flight clips? Do they work well? Do they rattle? I know none of the newer boats still use these.
Has anyone successfully modified the attachment point on the spinner rack to fit a 1 7/8" diameter tower? I was thinking of trying to marry the nautique spinner rack and a Roswell universal clamp. I really don't know much about these racks so that may be impossible.
A couple of things, you can get "clamp on" style of flight clips which utilize a machined clamp which fits over the oval tube on the FCT. You will sometimes see the spinners with the 1 7/8" clamps on ebay or here from time to time.
The Roswell universal won't work with the FCT, I had a set for a project I was trying to put together, the angle adjustment doesn't line up with the angle of the back leg on the FCT.
