    WANTED: ACME 856 prop

I'm adding some weight and have decided on moving from an ACME 644 to an ACME 856. Online they seem to be about $425 from a few places. If anyone has one for a better deal let me know!!! Thank you.

Most move from the 644 to the 1236 or the 1464 when needing a better holeshot. not sure you will be able to tell the difference with the 856. You should give acme a call and talk to tech support. they are really helpful.

I believe the 1464 has been replaced by the 1578. However, I agree with the previous poster. I had the 644, 856, and 1236 on my 2005 210. 1236 is a much better prop than the 856.

I agree with you both that the 1578 etc would be the best solution for the hole shot, but I still want to be able to pull a slalom skier and get around the lake a bit. I did indeed call and talk to ACME and Delta props, and they kind of went back and forth between these two and ultimately said the 856 is probably what I want. And based on where I'm at now with the 644 vs. the 856 I would be running 300 RPM's higher with the 856. Is the 856 really not a noticeable difference? I was about dead set on it, realizing I'm compromising some but would still be a noticeable improvement over the 644 with my new found heavy weight.

        Thanks again.

took both of your advice and picked up a 1464 from used forum. I look forward to the new found low end grunt. Thanks for the input.
