    Prop For 2003 SAN210

Looking for a new or perfect used replacement prop for my 2003 SAN210.
I'm not super familiar with what's available as far as upgrades today, anybody have some suggestions?
    Thanks
    Matt

Tell us how you use the boat and we can suggest a prop.

Basically how much weight do you put in the boat and what altitude do you normally use the boat at .

I use OJ 1578 for pretty slammed OG 210 (2001) mostly for surfing and some wakeboarding.
Recommend it if you need to get a heavily loaded boat moving.

600lbs or so with factory ballast tanks only, 4-5 people plus all the standard gear. 50% surfing, 20% wakeboarding, 30% cruising
Mainly used around 900-1000', shallower waterways like the river and shallower lakes. Spend a week down on Table Rock Lake, MO which is super deep, but that's once a year.

I don't really have any complaints regarding the factory prop and acceleration, though it did seem a little more difficult to control speed down low when surfing. So I guess I'm looking for something similar to factory, but perhaps just a touch better control at lower speeds.
The factory prop is dinged up pretty bad, hence my search for something better.

        Thanks
        Matt

          Thanks Doug!
I don't use any extra ballast, just the three factory tanks. I wouldn't say it's extremely loaded down comparing it to those using sacs on top of the factory ballast.

Sure! For me I don’t care about top speed. Don’t even go faster than 30. Usually not >25. Wakeboard around 21mph and not fully loaded for that. Knees can’t handle it:-)

My surf wave kept getting better as I added weight. I have piggyback bags in the back ~375 each + stock tanks, center bag about 400 and 15x 50 lb steel shot from lead wake. Guessing 2200 to 2400 plus people.
Usually we go with 3 in the boat.
I don’t struggle to plane but it takes a bit of time fully loaded even with 1578.

If you don’t care about top speed I’d still buy the 1578. You’d have room to grow.

            Good luck!

+1 for the 1578 if you don't care about top speed or need to do a lot of long distance cruising.

                I'm guessing you have a ACME 644.

If you are happy with that then I think an ACME 1578 will be a bit much for you and not needed at your weight and altitude.

An ACME 856 may be a better choice. It will be a bit more power full then what you currently have and you won't loose as much top end as with a 1578.

                  ACME 856, 13.25 X 15.5 Propeller For Sale.
I have a ACME 856, 13.25 X 15.5 Propeller For Sale. I bought it for my Nautique and I ended up buying a 1236 due to the ballast and weight. It has only been on the boat 1 day. Not scratched, bent, or dinged.$300. + shipping from my iPhone using Tapatalk
https://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/s...t.php?p=516561. The add is in gear for sale in April and is still available.

Ewallace, sorry I haven't check here in a while. Do you still have this prop? If so a couple photos would be appreciated. You can send directly to my email if you want, matt@cycle-tek.com

I have a 644 available, if i remember correctly, it is one prop up from stock that came with the signature/limited models of that boat, and was actually the prop that Nautiques used with their team edition boats, to balance the slightly upgraded ballast. As you say your boat is a TE, it's likely the prop you have currently. If youre looking for an equal replacement and not looking to upgrade prop/ballast, let me know, bought mine as a back up, never even installed it.
