    FCT2 Tower Wanted

I damaged the top of my tower, and I am interested in finding the upper portion or a complete FCT2 tower for an '01 Pro Air.

The tower is safe and usable but has a bend in the top from the boat lift (don't leave lift on unattended!). I am located in NE Texas, and closer is better, obviously.

    Thanks!

Have you found a solution to your problem? We have a similar issue. The top portion of our tower was stolen. You can buy a newly fabricated one through New Dimension in Tennessee. We already have one of these towers on order for our other 99' sport which came without a tower.

We'd prefer to replace just the top portion on this boat rather than the whole thing. Just wondering if you've found any good info...thanks!

Hey Captain - sorry for the slow response, I have been traveling.

      Yes and no ...

I talked with my local Nautique dealer, and the mechanic I spoke with gave me some interesting information. He told me that he doesn't know of any used towers around at this time. More importantly, though, he suggested that I consider replacing the whole tower as a unit. His reason is that in his experience (sounds like he has done a number of tower swaps or new installs through the years), the towers tend to have 'flex' over time, and that they do best as a matched set. I would at least try the top alone if I find the right opportunity.

The other thing suggested by the mechanic is to find a reputable aluminum welder that can cut out and replace the damage. I am leery of this, though, given the stress put on the tower. Obviously this doesn't help your situation.

      Hope you find a solution!

Odds of finding just a top section let alone a complete tower are slim to none these days, they used to be more readily available but I've been searching for the past two years and still coming up with nothing worthwhile.

My advice would be to order a new one from New Dimensions since it's virtually an exact replica of the FCT2 tower.

That being said, depending on how bad the damage to your tower is I might be interested in purchasing it to offset your cost on a new tower. I've been wanting to find one build a jig and fabricate my own since I haven't been able to find a complete used one.

Fellas, I've got an upper from a 2004 SV211. Doubtful it will fit your needs, but willing to measure or send pics if you like. The lower legs are ruined on mine. Another incident with the boathouse (left unattended...). I'm not sure which FCT version it is. BTW, I'm in Indiana. Also, we took our boat to New Dimensions to get repaired this winter. It sat outside for 3 months untouched by them and really a huge PITA. Went and picked it up with no repair done after continued lip service (when we could actually get a hold of them - 25% of the time) - NOT a good experience.
