Group Buy - Jabsco Ballast Puppies 18220-1127

I am putting together a group buy for Jabsco ballast puppies model 18220-1127. Model 1127 has the better poly-yellow impeller. Each pump comes with a DPDT labeled contura switch. Once I have a tally of interest, I can get pricing. If you are interested, please let me know:

Note, normal sales price from this seller is $250, so price would be less than that of course.

Can you tell I really wanted my auto ballast system a year ago! I still can't believe it's 2010. Oh well...

Mhaaland, if the first place you posted about is accurate in their model number, that is the correct pump, impeller and switch combo. The others I am not sure about. Depending on shipping from the first place, it might be hard to beat that price with a group buy. I will still tally and check though.

On another note, are you adding a bow sack to get to that 1660 lbs? You have an Air Direct Drive like me correct?

like tunman said they might not have the good impeller and as far as rocker switches go i'm not sure if its what everyone is looking for. I have never spooken to anyone from those sites to see what these pumps consist of. Just saw some good prices and wanted to pass it along. I did check on shipping for these pumps awhile ago and to Des Moines Iowa these pumps could be had for just under $200. I hope these work for everyone because i think it's a good price!

as far as my ballast system goes i haven't planned on adding a bow sack yet.
400lbs in stock tank
260lbs on each side of the engine (520lbs total)
540lbs in the ski locker
200lbs of tractor weight in the rear locker over the hard tanks
thats what i've come up with so far. i've started a thread on here with a sketch i did for my ballast.

Be sure you support that tractor weight. Those hard tanks are fragile. The stock "floor" provided with these boats that goes on top of the tanks is very flimsy and not designed for a lot of weight on top. I used it as a template to make a new floor out of 3/4" plywood (had to go a little short on the sides so I could get it in and out easily since it won't flex). I then covered that plywood with 2 coats of West epoxy. I then carpeted it with outdoor black carpet. I also built some wood supports to go between the tanks and near the corners to elevate the floor slightly above the tanks. Since doing so, I have had no problems with an almost full sac (about 350 lbs) on top. That said, I plan on ripping the factory tanks out and going with a total soft sac system.

Do you have a bow sac in your system?
