TowerBimini Group Buy --> Completed 3/01/2007

    ######Completed 3/1/2007#########
Last I heard there were 13 orders placed during this group buy.

    ###############################################

Once again Tower Biminis has stepped up to the plate and is offering PlanetNautique members a discount.

    Info:

    5-9 orders = 5% discount
    10-14 orders = 10% discount
    15+ orders = 15% discount

    - This offer is good for Flight Control Towers only.

    - Polished or stainless steel frame, we are discontinuing the black aluminum option this year.

    - All orders must be received by Feb. 28, 2007 with a credit card on file. We do not charge the credit card until the order ships.

    - Shipping to the continental US is about $25.00 per bimini, outside the continental US will need a shipping quote. They can receive one by emailing us with their zip code/postal code.

    - Polished clamps only, we are also discontinuing the powdercoated clamp option that we have offered in the past.

    - Deck mount biminis are available for boats with no towers.

Check out the attachments below for additional information and order forms. Order forms can also be obtained by contacting TowerBimini directly.

    20070207 - Update from TowerBimini:

Apparently there have been a few emails sent to TowerBimini requesting color samples. TowerBiminis has not received these requests from anyone on the forum.

If you have made requests or sent them questions via email, please resend them using this new updated email address: towerbiminis@yahoo.com

TowerBimini also strongly recommends members request actual samples since each computer monitor may have a different color calibration. Particularly if you are interested in colors Blue/Red/Gray since there are a lot of close matches.

So far only 1 bimini has been ordered.

Can anyone comment on whether it is worth the money to upgrade to the stainless steel? How stable is the aluminum? Thanks.

Update - Tower Biminis has asked me to relay the following info:

--Bimini's won't be shipped until after March 1st, so that the correct discount can be calculated.

--If anyone needs color samples, send an email requesting the colors you are interested in to: towerbiminis@yahoo.com

So far there has already been 1 bimini ordered.

          Any comments?

From what I understand, if I order stainless the clamps are polished so I don't need to pay more for the polished clamps right?(other than the cost of stainless that is)

Hey guys...I bought one last year and am super pleased with it. I did go with the stainless and am glad I did. Yes the clamps are polished aluminium. With the stainless the whole setup is rock solid and weather resistant. I can shake the whole boat on the trailer with the bimini.

If I had to do it again I would definately get the Tower Bimini and most certainly get it in stainless too.

I will be buying one once I recieve the sample colors and get my color choice matched up and squared away.

If everyone that buys one could post up in here we can keep track of it that way.

It would be nice be nice if the people who purchase one post in this forum so it is easy to track.

That said I can certainly contact TowerBimini's and ask. I'm sure they would be willing to provide that info.

On 1/23 they had only had 1 order so far.

Aright, so after I actually read the towerbimini site, if anyone is interested - you can go directly to the Sunbrella webpage and get a good look at the samples (especially if you select the "print details").

                          Here's the link, http://www.sunbrella.com/na/en/marine.pl
Click on 'Fabric Showroom' in the mid/upper-left, then all the colors can be found by the corresponding number given on the Towerbiminis.com website (when you do the 'build and qoute' part).

Hopefully I'm not the only one who didn't figure that out and was waiting for swatches to match up the colors... But hopefully it will encourage more people to get in their orders.

I want to match the CorrectCraft interior midnight blue. Does Sunbrella provide a mapping from one manufacturer's blue to the Sunbrella blue?

I had a few extra questions, but haven't heard back from towerbiminis yet so I wanted to ask before I send in my order form.

First, I'm pretty dead set on getting the stainless, can anyone reassure me that the stainless is worth the added cost (explaining why)?

Second, the 'binding color (edging)', is that the stitching color or what?

Lastly, the 'boot color' is that just the case that you put around the bimini when it's not open and being used?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks much
