Possible Custom Flyhigh sac group buy

I spoke with FlyHigh recently about custom sacs for my 2000 Air DD. I'm trying to maximize what I can get in my ski locker and rear compartment (no factory ballast). The dimensions I sent them for the ski locker was 10*22*68". I would think this would work in a Super Sport or Super Air as well. They gave me a price of $220 for this along with $260 for a sac measuring 17*19*84" for the rear locker. I'm debating the size of this one however, because I'm not sure that this might put too much pressure on the gas tank. Both were with 3 valves.

I'm willing to change the dimensions if there is more demand for a more common size. I'm just seeing how much interest there is, so please chime in if you're up for it or have any input.

Will the dimensions I have listed work for you?

        Randall,
will that sack fit in your rear locker? I measured mine, and it's ~86" up top near the underside of the deck, but it's more like 76"-78" at the bottom. I know it will "form" itself around the gas tank, but I'm not sure about how much pressure it would put on the fuel tank, I don't think that my aerator pump system would do anything but get it filled to the point of pushing water out the vents, I don't think it could actually "pressurize" the sack to the point it would try to "straighten" itself out and put pressure on the fuel tank, but I don't know enough about it.

Did you ask if Flyhi can do a radiused bag?
I'll try to get in touch to see...

        thanks,
        Jack

Definitely check and see if they will do a radiused bag. I'm still thinking about the dimensions and was hoping to get some input from others.

I don't know if it will fit. My boat is a few hours away awaiting the snow and ice to finally melt. If someone with a SAN can chime in I would appreciate it.

I might be interested in this...will be getting our boat back soon and I"ll try to get some measurements and see if that will work for me. I know for the rear locker my 98 Air has the 400lb stock hard tank, so I'm not sure on getting the rear sac as it probably won't fit. If not I'd still be interested in a custom in-floor locker sac if nothing else.

                Randall,
spoke to Flyhi today, they can do a radius, but they say you don't need it. He recommended a rectangular sack that would fill and form to the space, so probably your measurment of ~84" x 18" x 17" tall would work.

I'm still leaning toward using two (side by side across the back of the transom) sacks back there so that I MIGHT be able to do some surfing behind my boat. I'm already plumbed and pumped for two back there, so....

I've got a friend's set of V drive sacks (40" x 16" x 16") back there, and I'll probably test those out to see how they do, and then I'll decide if I need to do custom.

                  Hey Miljack,

Have you had a chance to try out the vdrive sacs? If so, how do they fit?

Word of caution when you are puttin a locker sack in...................the screws to the hinges of the locker door need to be cut off. They penetrate the fiberglass and will tear a hole in your sack. I used a dremal tool and cut them off.

It doesn't look like there's going to be enough interest to make a group buy worth while. I'll still check with them and see how much they'll come off the price for the locker sac for 5 or so buyers.

I still haven't made any other sac purchases so I might be interested in one for sure. Love to get a sac to maximize the full size of the in floor locker, it's pretty huge.

I'm also interested in purchasing a rear locker sac. So the hard tanks will need to be removed? How hard it it to re-plumb the sac? I am experiencing difficulties with my hard tanks in the rear, they are hard to drain once ive filled them so im looking into a sac to just replace them and to add weight. Will the size fit my 99' pro air>?

                              99,

There does not seem to be enough demand for the rear sac. I'm now thinking that 2 sacs may be better back there. I still have to check with Flyhigh for the possibility of doing the front locker.
