New Sante- some questions speaker and tower

I just received my new Sante and love everything about it. I however found the tower to be a bit off kilter- when I installed some tower speakers. Is this normal as I saw another boat at the dealer, a 2002 model that seamed a bit off as well? I will ask the dealer next time I see them, but has anyone noticed this?

Another question is the stereo system is good but the back housings seem to vibrate a bit. Does anyone know a quick fix for this?

Towers are dealer-installed items, so how straight the tower is is probably a result of whether the installation was completed properly or not.

Are you referring to the tower lining up when you stand it back up to tighten the thumb screws? By the way, the boat looks sharp!

maybe post a pic of exactly what isn't "off kilter." I think I might know what you are talking about if you are referring to how the footprint of the strut(s) line up with the gunwalls (i think that's the right word). If this is the case, I know exactly what you are talking about and could share our experience. Boat does look awesome!!! Is that the captain up in the bow?

The tower is seems to be slightly lower on one side then the other when you look at it the top portion from the swim platform. I will take a picture of it and show you what I mean next week. It is really no huge deal because I only noticed it when installing the speakers.

Yes that is the captain of the boat la la! Definitely going to see if she will become my new wakeboarding buddy!

Hey BBc3 your boat is killer very clean. I think you are the one with the neat air intakes? My speakers are polished aluminum as are the lights. We will probably be doing some polishing every week. Oh well.

Mine is tweaked also. When folded down the starboard side of the towers rests on the boat while the Port is 1" off. When raising the tower neither side lines up with the base.

If that is what tweaked is mine is also tweaked a little. My tower rests on one side when folded, and when lifted to fasten the screws, on side must be popped into the socket. After that it does not look wierd, but I have not put a speaker box on it.

Wow, I am surprised to hear that this is a problem so many people are experiencing. My tower folds perfectly in both directions, and meets up with the fixed section just right. I think I read in another thread that the holes are drilled at the factory, and the dealer installs the tower. Is that the case? Before I read that, I thought the dealers did the drilling and the installation.

The towers are mounted on the boat at the factory then removed and shipped with the boat, the dealer then puts the tower back on when it arrives. No new holes are drilled by the dealer, just reattaching it. Your tower is stamped with the same number as your boat. Each tower is slightly different that another and they are not plug and play. Therefore the factory and dealers go through great pain to ensure the tower stays with the boat.

The tower needs to be tweaked by the dealer when he installs it to get everything to line up. It takes some time but makes for a good fit. Some need more work than others but they all need some work. NautiqueJeff ---Your dealer must have done you right with your tower....HAHAHAHAHA.

Can they be "adjusted" after the fact? Or do they have to be done "right" the first time. Mine is off just a little bit also. It's noticable when screwing in the handle to the top half of the tower. I'd like to fix it if it can be done. Please advise.

It is best to be done right the first time. You can take a large rubber hammer and lift the tower out of the socket and give it a wack towards the bottom and in the direction it needs to move. Start of small and work your way up until it is lined up. It is easier if you have a helping hand. This method is only for lining up the legs into the sockets. When they are lined up they work very smooth and easy.
