Ok, if it were me id be trying to find any super sport/ super air from 95 to 06. Or if that fails id be going i pre 97 sport nautique. Have ridden a post 07 Air (99 0r 2000) and wasnt impressed for the amount of weight used compared to the weight we were running in our 210. Other crediable older hulls were the mastercraft 205 centre mounts, then the v drive 205 (old old x stars) And the older Vlxs in the U.S ran a better hull (now the current australian v-ride hull) than our pre 05 vlxs. Cant beat Nautique build quality and resale value though.

You will notice all the "legendary" hulls over the years hold a good price in th U.S as well.

In 98 I was offered an 94 Air nautique for $28g au, should have bought that boat, it ended up shipping to japan. That boat would still fetch $45 today.

I have only the had the oppertunity to ride behind this nautique a couple of times but I was going crazy by the time I was done. The first couple times I hit it I came at like it was a Malibu (I have to hit those with a lot of speed) and got thrown off axis like crazy. the owner of the boat knew this would happen and thought it was funny as ****. after that though I was having a blast. The kick behind that boat is unlike any I have ever ridden. I is really nice because you can be a lot more relaxed in your approach.

Also I was curious on what the surf wake on these boats are like compared to the 07-08 220s that is what the shop has as a boat so that is the only nautiuqe I get to ride and my family is looking into getting a 03-05 210.

surf wake does not compare to the 220. Can get a reef out of both boats but it is so much easier with the 220 and new shaped 210
