I have a 95 super sport and it only has a 3 blade on it. I notice that a lot of the new SAN have 4 blades on them and I rarely see a 3 blade around unless its on a specifically designed ski boat. Before I only had 600 pounds of ballast and it would take the boat forever to get up on plane. Now that im putting about 1200 pounds in I want a prop that is going to get the boat up and go. Top speed means nothing to me I only max the speed at about 35 anyhow. Any thoughts?

RE: Witch prop do you perfer on your SAN?
I still have the old propoff my 00SAN. it was a 14x16 it was a MONSTER out of the hole, but would only run 35-36 tops. But with as much weight as wew were running is was great.2016 G23 H6

RE: Witch prop do you perfer on your SAN?
I love my Acme 1234. It matches pretty well with my size boat (not a SAN but...)and the ZR6 motor. Lots of hole shot and didnt lose much top end.
IMO - its almost perfect.Boat - 2005 Team 226 -ZR6 - Several Acme Prop's (1234, 644, 1160) Depending on occassion

RE: Witch prop do you perfer on your SAN?
If you aren't going to be cruising then go with the ACME 856. If you want to cruise then go with the 644. The 856 is a monster out of the hole with any weight of ballast. We run 2000# and had to ditch the 644.
Note, the 1234 from ACME will not fit any SAN or SS. The diameter is too large. If you feel adventorous, I know ACME came out with a 1234 for the SAN but I can't remember its name. I think it started with a 14, 1464 maybe?
Give the guys at ACME a call and they will be loads of help.2016 SAN 210

bhenry, I recently just went through the same thing, did some research, talked to other owners, then I called ACME. Everyone said the same thing: ACME 1464. The dimensions are 13.5x14.25. It has been everything they claimed and more. Call them direct. They're very helpful. BTW I won mine in an owners reunion raffle. SWEET.
