    Removing windsheild

How hard would that be on 04' Super Air?
I'm planning to have the windows tinted. If I could get the winsheild off I could do it myself. If not, it's gonna be a pain.
    What do you suggest.

Pull the rubber stripping and unscrew the screws. I did it on a malibu I had and it wasn't that hard. I did break a few screws so be prepaired to drill some out and I would suggest replacing all of them. good luck

It could be a nightmare trying to get a walk-through windshield re-installed. The metal "wing" wants to straighten PLUS the gap between the door and the driver side piece is effected. ER

Don't do it!!!! Pay the pro to tint them for you. It'll be so worth it.

Yeah, good idea! Here's the problem. The first place said they couldn't because of the tight spaces, plus the tinting place looked shady.
So I removed the whole windshield from the boat. Then, the second place said it couldn't be tinted period because of the bend radius.

The windshield was super easy to remove.

I agree, Andrew has the best avatar ever!

Are you kidding? I just had mine done 18 months ago. They did it in one piece for each window. You just need to find someone who knows how to do it. It takes a heat gun and a lot of experience. Here's mine.

That is a sweet ride Mark! What % did you go with?
Thanks for posting, my buddy carried the windshiled to a place in raleigh, NC. I thought they were a little high, said they would do it for $208. I may go ahead and let them. $208 doesn't sound as bad now.

Tinting is actually a simple process. Use a spray bottle and put in 6 drops of dish soap and fill with water. Clean windshield with a clean cloth and spray soam-water mix on windshield and on sticky side of tint. Apply tint t windshield....it can be easily moved around with the layer of soapy water under it. Get it centered and use a simple plastic wiper blade and start from the center and work the water to the edges. Once all of the water and bubbles are out, use a blow dryer to set the glue and remove any small wrinkles.

Ive been doing this for more than 20 years and to date have never had one go bad.

                          Good luck

It's 20%. You know it actually looks way darker from outside the boat than inside. $208 is a good deal if they're using 3M tint.

I'm going to pick up the windshield today. I'll post pics as soon as I get everything put back together. Thanks for all the info guys.
I told the guy 5%, I might have went to dark, we'll see.
