This past weekend/week we had a few guys down in Orlando for some skiing and hanging out.
I called on Monday and was lucky enough to get a CC factory tour scheduled for Wednesday morning for my buddy and i.
Holy smokes, top notch, world class. We left there and thought "that's what a first class operation is supposed to be."
We started at the molding process and walked it all the way through to the lake test and then shrink wrapping. amazing stuff. They sure have their stuff together. Everyone was busy as worker bees but very friendly to us and each other.
What was also crazy, were all the colors being chosen. Saw some odd combinations.
Two 196's with Orange and yellow as the only colors. Another 196 with green, yellow and blue stripes. nutty.
It seemed like they were building 236's as fast as they could! that was the number one boat in the molds and in production as we were walking around.
If you ever get a chance, GO! Well worth the hour or so of tour. We both walked out of there wanting to custom order a boat and pick it up. My 2002 is going to hold me over, for now!
