Ramlin axle/hubs-are the new ones oil bath or grease lube?

Can anyone answer if the new Ramlin trailers (2007 & up) are all now oil bath lubrication, including drum brake versions?

I now have a new axle on my old trailer (99) and it still has the drum brakes, but the old lube caps have been replaced with the clear blue plastic caps as in oil bath. I've tried to find out from them, but they didn't answer my email. I know they're buried now that it's new boat time. I figured someone here would have the answer.

    thanks

they been using the blue caps with oil and grease hubs you will just need to look to see if there is a grease fitting in there or if its oil bath.... Ramlin started to do oil in 06 but they had problems with them leaking so they starting using grease with the blue caps in 08 but they are changing anyone's trailers that had problems with oil bath over to grease for free....

RE: Ramlin axle/hubs-are the new ones oil bath or grease lub

I just bought my '07 211 this past weekend. It came on a '07 Ramlin trailer with oil bath hubs. Unfortunately, on the drive from Orlando to Indianapolis, two of the oil bath hubs lost their ability to hold oil. Fortunately, I caught it on time and was able to pump oil in every hour or so for the trip back. I called Ramlin and they said that they only used the oil bath hubs in '07 and have had considerable problems with them. They offered to send the parts to convert back to grease. There seems to be some confusion on PN about this topic...just trying to figure out of this aligns with what others have heard / seen? BTW, Ramlin folks were super responsive and easy to deal with so far. For what it's worth, I have oil bath on my Ranger trailer and I haven't had any problems there....yet.

I have the oil baths and have always had problems with 1 side getting a slight amount of water in them. I have heard good things about boatmate trailers and the oil bath system that they use.

Does anybody have an 08 Ramlin trailer? If so, does it have oil bath, or grease? Or the oil bath set-up with grease?
