What is this boat worth? (pics)

I seem to be no good at figuring the value of things for sale so I will ask you.

I have toyed with the thought of buying a V drive for some time now but dont know what I could get for my boat. It is a 1993 sport with twin buckets, the converted protec 285hp engine with 425 hours and a brand new New Dimension tower with both board racks (anodized brushed finish ont he tower/racks) and cd stereo. The exterior is near mint now after I worked my butt of on it and would come with a mint surge brake single axle ramlin trailer. Seats are factory and mint and the carpet is really good shape too. Any thoughts? I know what I can find for prices but dont know what they actually sell for. What should I ask for it?

I sold my 1993 sport at the beginning of last month for $16,800. The interior was mint like yours. The exterior was near mint like yours. It as light blue in color with grey stripe. It had no graphics, although I ordered some from White Lake and gave them to the new owner to put on. It had close to 350 hours, a brand new (never used) polished Monster Tower with one set of board racks, ACME 422 (4-blade) prop. The stereo wasn't any good, but the interior was mint. It was on a single axel Ramlin as well. It sounds pretty much like the same boat. I was asking $17,800 for it, but coincidentally (total coincidence mind you) I sold it to my wife's freshman year college room mate and her husband. We had no idea who I had been communicating with until my wife and I met them, and our wives laughed in excitement for seeing each other. Had it not been a past friend, my lowest was $17,300. I hope this helps. Like I said, they seem to be the same boat. Good Luck!

Couple reasons for that. My starting price was a tad high to guage local interest or national interest for that matter and the ice is still on the lakes locally so that made it nearly impossible locally. It took time because of that but it did sell (pending a decent test drive in a few weeks) to the third person who looked at it. I was getting impatient

I guess I just didnt want to loose much money on this one because I put on a tower I havent used and 5 hours on it since I bought it not to mention about 60 man hours of work on it so far. Just curious what it could be bought for, even with it being purple. Although I shouldnt, there are a couple of others I have been eying up already.

You will love the vdrive. I had a 2001 hull boat that I sold at the last of the prior season and I cant imagine now having a direct drive. The super sport hull and interior configuration is absolutely perfect. You should not have any problem selling the sport. The open bow is a huge factor for most people especially with a family. The 2001 you are selling is a much harder sell to the general public because it is such a specialty boat. Good luck on the sale you will not regret it....

In this market, $14k+ take the money and run. You have two things working against you, color and trailer. If I was in the market the boat would have to be a screaming deal for me to compromise on a dated color and a single axle trailer.

I want a V drive for the wakeboarding/surfing benefits as well as interior layout. Open bow was the real reason I got the one I did and got a market value price on it too at the time. It is a great upgrade from my 2001, regardless of color although I wish I had a different color for it. I am still on the fence but I think I will wait it out a year and see what the market does and how this boat treats me too. I have a lot of time in this boat now and I would like to use it a bit I think. It would also help if this boat was more paid for and I had a lot of money from it i could roll into the next one. I still havent been able to test drive the old boat so I still am sitting on that one.

Go talk to Mark at Son Watersports. If you're not close, give him a call on what you plan on doing. If you're trading a boat in on a used/new boat he has on the lot or has access to, chances are pretty good he'll swing you a good trade price. Not to mention the savings in sales tax when you register your new boat.

Two years ago when I was shopping for mine I would have bought that in a heartbeat for $14K. Probably would have for $16K too. But the economy slowing down and the high gas prices have everyone on edge and it's affecting all "toy" markets including boats.

Be glad you're not trying to offload a house like my inlaws...
