What are your predictions for 2009

The time is approaching. 2009 model year chatter...

Every year a thread like this is started. so - what's up fellow PlanetNautique and Correct Craft loyalists...

What do you expect to see this year.
What don't you expect to see this year?
What's on your wish list in terms of R&D?
What boats are perfected to the point that they don't require change?
What boats need to go, or be heralded and vaulted if the situation around your prediction warrants it if any, given the landscape.
...and other thoughts. Let's go.

What Do I expect - 1 new model & 1 redesigned model. And probably a reasonable price rise given the skyrocketing cost of oil.
What I'd like to see - a new 20ft V-drive model with 98" beam to compete with the VTX, 20V & 20SSV.
What I don't expect to see - any changes to the 196, 210 or 230. I think they have got these boats right on & feedback from our owners confirms my thoughts.
New Technology - further development of the Zero Off System for use in tidal or current affected waterways (i know there is a software update, but I am yet to try it out so don't know how effective it is yet). Not sure what else is under development

It would be refreshing for them to introduce a barebones throw-back with the old 210 hull for a cheaper price. And to also get rid of that stupid I/O hump that is still left in the 220.

But you gotta spin it to 5600 RPM to see that 409 hp rating. Think CC will prop the boats to make that possible?

I agree, old 210 hull with just the basics for hardcore wakeboarders. Something like the v-ride that malibu offers, I think it would definately sell.

- I think the 220 will have a interior redesign, back seat like the 210, dash like the 210/230 and some other small things.
- The 210 and 230 are spott on. No need to change those 2, except some small stuff probably. Perhaps other cupholders in the bow for the 230, and some more cupholders in the back interior of the 210.
- The 211 and 226 remains like they are. I think 2009 will be the last year for the 226. Also Titan tower options for these boats.
- 196, 206 and 216 will get some small interior changes.

Two things I would really like to see:
- Zero Off with current possibility
- Strapless spinner boardracks, one thing MC got right!

But I think the 220 will change the most, and other boats will just get some quality and luxury changes... No new boats, and no boats will get scrapped from the order list.

Judging from my recent trip to the factory I say color stripes on the deck. Apparently they have been experimenting with stripes instead of a full on colored deck. Stripes could be cool. Full colored could be cooler.
I think/hope they will make a small change to the 210 interior. The port flip up back rest should be replaced with one that can face either direction like the 230 has. That would be perfect.

Is it possible that colored decks are coming back? Theres a black/green 196 in (May?) Waterski with what appears to be a black deck.
