I would definitely expect a change to the 211 I am just not exactly sure what.

I would also love to see new gel-coat color patterns i think the three stripe pattern is completely dated ad its time for some changes in that regard. I think the california stripe that is offered on the 226 is a cool start to spice up the line i just wish it was offered on something more than the 226 which in my opinion is by far the worst boat in the line.

Unfortunately I don't see them doing full color on the decks because they have been so adamant about the gel coat fading from direct sun exposure. It would be sweet though.

I think the idea of having a stripped down version of the old 210 hull is one of the best things correct craft could do. I don't know what it is like around the lakes in your area but the v-rides are taking over around here.

Although I think it would be nice to have the old style 210 back at a cheaper price, I think it would hurt the resale value for all the people that have 06 and before 210's. I'm not sure this would be a wise business move as you might upset a lot of nautique owners with those style boats and hurt the sales of the newer 210's and 220's.

A stripped down version of the old 210 will not happen. Seriously, CC sells all the boats that they make each year, so why would they want to start selling a boat with what I'm sure would be a lot lower margin.

^to stick it to companies like Moomba, Malibu, etc. The crowd that is wanting a great wakeboard boat but either doesn't want/need or cannot afford the $80k 230 is going to likely go somewhere else. Even if they don't make buku $$$ on a throwback barebones 210 they're still adding to their client base. And let's be honest, the people that buy new 210's/220's/230's are still going to spend the big bucks (and if one steps down, someone else will be right there to take their place), so offering a lesser option will not loose them any cash in the long run.

And really all you're paying for is a fresh engine, CC quality, and most importantly the hull of the old 210 - outside of that I could care less how many amps/cupholders/coolers/pop-up seats CC puts into a wakeboard boat. Some people buy a wakeboard boat for simple reason that they want to ride a worldclass wake and that's it, unlike many people who simply buy the new wakeboard boats to use as a status symbol as they're parked at the beach (and I'm not saying that everyone does that, nor am I implying that there is anything wrong with it, but that's the truth. And hopefully I'm at that level someday :grin: ). But I think they're missing out on a large demographic that would purchase the barebones, ride the crap out of it, then eventually be able to afford the $80k boats that CC makes once they're in a more comfortable economic situation. By not offering that type of boat you have people either buying used or going with a new Moomba/etc.

But it's just like crack, give them a little hit and once it hits their lips they just can't get enough Yellow_Flash_Colorz: - i.e. brand loyalty.

If you look at the price of a new 196 with very few options I would guess it would be more $$ then what most would want to pay for a bare bones 210. I would assume that CC would have more cost in a stripped down 210 than they do in a base model 196. To me I see this as the main factor we do not see CC following the thought of building a base line boat. And thinking about it I do they offer the new 210 or 220 in a signature package that is just that a base line boat?

I would like to see them come out with a boat from the early 80s with 300 or so hp etc. Something that is more affordable without all the crazy bells and whisles.

tski97 is correct I purchased a close out 210 SE for probable less then they would sell a stripped smaller version entry boat. I got my 210 less then the '08 V-Ride which is entry level. With the market slow i don't know that there is a need for a bare version since there are closeouts on previous years.

The problem with the ealy 80 style with the 300 hp motor is that they have the 196 with 300 hp. It would not cost them much less to produce a slightly smaller boat and so the cost would be right there with the 196. Most buyers will buy a used boat that meets there needs before the buy a more expensive boat that is smaller than most people would like.

I do not think they will make many changes for this next year. Maybe do away with the 220. I have thought that maybe they may take the 206 and 216 and creat a boat like the sport in between the two sizes like the sport was.

They just announced the Disel engine, that should put some power out there.

I would not look for a diesel option from CC in 2009. It sure would be nice though, especially in the bigger wakeboard boats. Thoughts?

I would think the diesel would be great in all the boats if you could get diesel on the lakes. I think for just about all water sports the diesel should perform well and fuel consumption should go down. Also isn't the MC diesel about a 25-30k upgrade. If so you can buy a lot of gas in the larger v-8 for this.

It shouldn't be the big of an upgrade but manufactures see diesel as a profit center. That has been very true in the pickup market. Transmissions could be a factor in boats.
