OK, I know I can read a lot of postings, but I was kicked out of 4th grade for under-achieving. The one thing everybody of all ages loves is surfing behind my 2007 211. The problem is a very short wake behind the boat. Hang time without the rope is very short. No room for error. I fill the port, 3/4 in the belly, and stuff people in the back port corner. The wake gets big, but I don't get that long sweeping wake I see in Clubmyke and other pics, np matter what speed. If the surfer doesn't stay in about a 4ft area, the rest of the wake is not big enough to hold an adult. My wake curves hard behind the boat, rather than sweeping out big for a ways behind the boat, like I see in posted pics. Will 400lbs of POP bags fix this, and what is the strategy for making the wake big and long?

RE: SURF WAKE
Sometimes depending on your depth and how many people you have, it may take 30 secs for the wake to form. Also if the wake is too tall and to close to the boat move 1 person to the front to make the wake longer.
From my experience, surfing on the starboard side throws a better wake.
In my 210:
I fill starboard rear tank, throw a fat sac in over the tannk and pile people in the corner. I dont really use the belly tank.
Hope this helps!

-add more weight in the bow that will lengthen out the wake (4-5 pop product bags and a 300 lb fly high fat sac)
- do NOT fill the belly tank (leave it empty). that really flattens out the wake.
i use 16 bags of pop products @ 640lbs.... it makes a really big differnce in cleaning /firming up the wake. i have tried water ballast but it isnt the same..
btw, the 211 is really tweeky when it comes to this.. when you get it dialed in, it is really tall and long with a nice barrel curl at the end. if your ever in the scottsdale/phoenix area. hit me up for a pull
also dont forget to seal up those rear vents on the side your surfing..

I had a friend bring his 07 211 out last year for an afternoon, and we could not get his wake set up right to save our lives. I have another friend with an 05 211 and we have his wake tuned to an incredible surf wake on both sides. The difference is strange to me... Am I correct that the only diff between the boats is the prop rotation? or is there more to it?the WakeSlayer

Rotation changed on the 07, so we go on the port. I don't know about anything else. The "no belly water" seems to be new science, but it makes sense. The surfable on both sides would be incredible. We often end up with a leechy, boat-sucking crowd and doubling up would be great.

I surf behind an 07 211all the time. Here is my setup:
Belly and port tank full.
440# fac sac in transom walkthrough area
Wakeplate in SLALOM MODE!
PP at 10 MPH.
You have to be in at least 8 feet of water. Surfing in less doesn't really work with any boat.
Here is a couple pics from last year. My wife driving, 200# friend taking the pics seated on the passenger side:
Wife, top of wake is at her hand, so prolly 3 feet from tip to the bottom of the trough:
Movie is worth a 1000 pictures:

BTW, I had the same problem as you before I put the fat sac in. I could barely stay in the wake. The 440# made a HUGE difference. It was like I got a different boat. I can now surf with just the wife driving and me behind the boat (yes that's legal here in MN).2001 Ski Nautique / 2007 SV211 TE (gone but not forgotten)
