    Energizing gauges off the lake

I traded my 92 Larson for a 2007 216 Team Edition and needless to say I'm very excited. We've been out for one quick familiarization tour and a very quick ski (considering the single digit water temperature). I would like to figure out the perfect pass while the boats sitting in my driveway but the perfect pass doesn't seem to energize. I put in the code, press start and the other accesories (stereo, bilge pump, heater etc) are available but perfect pass is not and more importantly the gas gauge isn't either. Am I missing a step? You must be able to check fuel quantity without starting the engine?

Tap start one more time. You're Red Check Engine light should come on w/o starting the engine.

Yes..."tap" ....if you hold down the engine will crank.

Also, IIRC, you have to have the kill lanyard attached or the guages won't come on. HOWEVER, the engine will "crank, not run" without the laynard. That is a handy feature if you want to prime your oil pump.

Thanks folks. I new it would be simple. I think I'm getting on to the perfect pass button sequencing but I sure don't find it intuitive.

It is not intuitive. Just have patience and look at the screen for the soft key menus. There is some online docs that help. I remember one simple guide and one complex one. They may be on this site or PP site...I cannot remember.

I'd find them for you based on my downloads....but I'm about to leave the country....and late.
