Looks like a fun day. Where is the lake located? We are still in Dry Suits as the lake temp is around 60 (at least it was 2 weekends ago).

I am primarily a slalom skier. I took up wakeboarding for variety and to relate better to my kids. We also surf since you can do it in rough water (which is plentiful on my lake in the afternoons. The skate is our 2008 toy. What is a roam?

We were out a couple weeks ago for our first ride of the season. First day of iceout:

Yep, those birds are standing on a sheet of ice

Pretty sunset to go with it.

Had to wait a couple more weeks before I got brave (stupid) enough to try to do anything on the water. Last weekend I put the dock in at the cabin:

I had brought the boat out just in case, and we decided to head out on the water after we got it in.

I decided despite the 45 degree (according to the boat, it was probably colder) temp, I'd try surfing. Shorty wetsuit, and a platform start and I was surfing. My brother said "don't toss that rope in!" Well, I felt like such a tard riding around with a slack rope that I tossed it in. Rode around 1/2 the lake, then it more shallow and I lost the curl. Fell in. Hands and feet were instant ice, 1 fall was enough. My body stayed warm though the minute or so I was in the water.

Sorry, no pics of that  But lemme tell ya, it was cold. The wakeboard and the ski were not coming out to play.

Hopefully in a week or two the water will be in the 50s.
