Man, I can have some terrible spelling on the forums!
I just feel that if a dealer is doing something they might be ashamed of, then that is their problem not mine.
Abba,
I hope you aren't fully relying on your dealer if you are dead in the water. If so, you might be sitting there a while. I also think I have a very good repoor with my dealer, but if they aren't happy with how much they sold my boat to me for, then maybe they should not have sold me my boat. I also feel a dealer should not have to justify why they give some people better deals than others. Just a fact of life.
My biggest gripe is the lack of access to MSRP pricing and "Invoice" pricing, or the delta between what CC gets from the dealer for a boat, and what the MSRP is. I want to know how much room the dealer has in negotiation. Not so I can buy for invoice, but so the dealer can make a fair profit to keep his doors open.

guys, I'm not pissed, I'm just trying to make a simple point and not get it misunderstood. I was afraid it would come across that way.... 1 day of no school and I already can't write.
I was assuming he was referring to me since he practically used the same words I did and was the only guy to talk about the things he mentioned.
No, I wouldn't fully rely on my dealer to get me out of the water. He doesn't patrol it looking for dead Nautiques. But when I get back to him with the help of another nice boater and need it fixed very quickly, like by the end of the day or by tom, (assuming the damage is nothing major.,) than I may need his help and only his help.
Again, I'm totally for discussing price. All I'm saying is don't get on anyones bad side, such as a dealer's.
I guess I wouldn't be saying this if I hadn't gotten of 3 of their bad sides already.... oops!.... :oops:I Nautique, therefore I am.

So lets recap...
Lots of people want to know how much everybody else paid for their boat. 8)
I'll bet that many people would rather stay anonymous in case they over paid. (I think we should be particulary sensitive to this one.)
At least one person doesn't want to betray the confidence of their dealer. :sunny:
So, how aboout a poll? 210, 211 and 206 (most popular models, right?), all TE's, no trailers, no non-CC options. If there is any interest in this let's hear your comments. I certainly don;t want to ask Jeff to do any work if we are not in agreement.
Or, how about you just PM the owner of the boat you want the price of? You'll either get it... or not.

One poll per popular model sounds like a great idea. Anonymous--for the buyer and dealer--and the info get across. Just like you said, we can't add on any major options like tower speakers, ZR6, and even trailers, etc...I Nautique, therefore I am.

Just a side note, I have no idea what the trailer cost and my dealer does not sell boats without trailers. In Utah...there is no option to dry stack your boat, leaving it on the water year round in the water or on a lift is not an option.... Here you buy a boat with a trailer....it is a package deal. I would be happy to participate in the poll, but if it doesn't include the trailer price....I am at a loss.
Another thought.... It is much easier for someone to buy a boat in January/February and pay 6-10 K less than someone buying a boat in June/July..... Or in my case, buy a leftover '03 and save yourself thousands over someone ordering from an '04 production slot.
In the end, final pricing is a vey subjective thing.
