    So, as an example....

    210TE w/330 (no trailer):
    1) <$47
    2) $47 - $49
    3) $49 - $51
    4) $51 - $53
    5) $53 - $54
    6) >$54

    Too high?
    Too many choices?
    Too great a spread?

[quote="redelf75"]I show the MSRP for the 211TE w/ 330 as $53,822. Can anyone confirm that price?

For those of you interested in the poll option, you can create your own polls that show up in the forums.

          1. Select "New Topic"
          2. Scroll down to the "Add a Poll" section.
          3. Type in the "Poll Question."
          4. Fill in the "Poll Option" and then click "Add Option."
          5. Repeat this until you have all the possible answers you want added.
          6. Submit when completed.

This will add a poll to your post. We can keep this type of poll in mind for an upcoming homepage poll, but we typically only change those once a week.

Too tough to do it like the poll has... You would have had to puchase the team package. There are 702 members of planet nautique. I would guess more than half have boats made pre-team edition package was even offered, probably 75%. So even if it was 60%, 421 people have the option to post. I forgot to take out people who are members that don't own boats or own non-nautique boats....or came here one time and never came back.... There goes another 100+.....(probably more)

321 people who can participate.... Of those, approx. 60+% purchased limited or signature edition models... 192.... Of those 192...most of them are bouy chasers and refuse to participate in a poll at all.... Kidding....kidding....kidding...

Anyway....I hope you get my point.

I think that if we wanted to do this, they would need to build an area that you could go into and post the rundown of your boat, factory options, cost...bla..bla..bla.... It could be segmented into the different models to make things easier....

            Just a thought.

            E.J.

There are WAY too many variables for this poll to have any accuracy whatsoever. It's quite difficult to extrapolate the cost of the trailer, tower, etc out of the cost of the boat unless it was specifically broken out that the time of purchase. Sounds good in principle, but GIGO.

With CC's (3) trim levels, comparision pricing is fairly straight forward.

The variables that cannot be accounted for are the time of purchase, rebates offered by the factory, products carried by the dealership and dealer/customer relationships.

I used to favor playing show and tell. I have since changed my mind.

How do I for example determine what is fair and reasonable profit for my dealer. My dealer only sells and services Nautiques (service work represents very little revenue). The attention to one product benefits me because my boat is set up right, problems are resolved quickly, and in eleven years have never been out of a boat for a single weekend.

My dealer has five families to feed, its plant, and the nut for the plant (payroll, taxes, rent, lights, electricity, fuel, insurance, equipment, tools, trucks, etc.) to pay from the profits generated by selling boats.

The better question would be how much will the 05's go up as a result of selling out production in 04. My dealer just had five of their busiest sales months come and go without a boat to sell and by the time they have one to offer, most buyers have turned their thinking to snow skiing. The dealers will have suffer this year and recoup their losses next year.

Just think, in 05 maybe CC can live up to the stereotype and actually offer the most expensive product line in the ski/wakeboard boat in market!

The bottom line is the best deal is the one YOU can successfully negotiate with YOUR dealer at the TIME you are in the market.

Personally I hope every dedicated wakeboard boat on the market jumps in price by 15%.

Could not agree more on the best deal.... Because of production slots, number of boats each dealer will get and his/her ability to get rid of those boats is the biggest factor on what your "deal" will be.

Someone buying from a dealership that gets and sells the 10 SAN's he is alloted and does this before the boat show is over in the Spring will most likely not be discounting his boats as much as a dealer who may have 50 production slots. Again we get into the supply and demand area....(all this is just made up numbers to get a point across, I have no idea if CCC is even able to dump 50 supers in a year).

That said, I still encourage someone in the market for a boat to research pricing via e-mail to owners in an attempt to get somewhat of an idea of what others are paying. You may end up paying more or less, but at least you're not going in blind.

                    E.J.

Costs for the dealer, the buyer and Correct Craft are not the same everywhere. There are europeans on this site... is the cost the same to them? Wages, taxes, opportunity costs, etc. all account for pricing for the dealer....... apples to apples comparisons are not appropriate (or possible).

When I was doing my "Nautique research," I came across a couple CC dealers in France and I think one in Italy and Switzerland. I couldn't read anything. All I knew were the boats from the pictures and the numbers. And I saw some 210TE's for in the high 80s if I'm correct.

Assuming the price is in Euro, that's about $63K US.
