what to do with the wakesurf?

we have a 2006 220. the boat is awesome and we have plenty of room for all of our wakeboards, kids, dogs, food, etc. the only thing that we can't find a place for is our wakesurf.
the other day, i saw a malibu driving around town with his racks loaded with all of his wakeboards (gotta be cool, right?) but he had made a pvc attachment that looked like it fit on the bottom of one of the racks that was loaded with his wakesurf. has anyone ever seen this?
or, a better question is what do you do with your wakesurf?
i read a post with some guy who was looking for a yakima surfboard rack that usually goes on top of a car, but he was going to have them mounted to the top of his tower. that sounded like a great idea, but our bimini is attached to the top of our tower, which, by the way, we LOVE!
any ideas would be HUGELY appreciated. its just not working for us hanging out on the floor.

my CWB Ride and my TrckBoardz both fit in the stock board racks.

You dont need one of those thick surf boards, the CWB Ride is a great learning/ intermediate board.

i turn my board fin side up (traction side down). i point the tail of the board towards the bow. i push it up firmly against the bottom of the tower and use ratchet straps to secure it. completely out of the way, and it acts as a "mini bimini" when we dont need the whole bimini up.

of course, i dont NEED anything. i know that i dont WANT a CWB ride, and i dont want to be limited to laminated boards because the only place i can think to put a board is in the OEM rack. the way i store mine, i could probably store 3 hand shaped boards without a problem...

we already have a board and it is too thick for the racks, but thanks for the suggestion! had i even considered that we were going to have this problem we would've looked at a thinner board!

i'll have to give the ratchet straps a try! i was going to try bungees, but wasn't sure if they would be safe enough. but the ratchet straps...

what what the heck are you asking?

You buy a thick *** board and it wont fit in any rack

You buy a thinner board it fits in most racks

WHat board do you have? Are you using a standard surfboard?

A wakeboard tower is pretty much the same as a car's surf rack, just much stronger. I just bungee mine to the top of the tower.

I have the ultimate solution. Get a Z5 cargo rack!! My surf board fits easily up there. It is kind of the same idea as the car roof rack you were talking about, but the Z5 includes a bimini. It is great! It will hold three additional boards on top of the four that fit in the spinner racks.

I have the flight clip racks and my Inland Surfer Red tide fits in with no problem. You have to add length to your straps but I just use the bungees form a portable shelter and they work great. ACE Hardware had them for less than a dollar.

I only half to go about 5 miles and maybe half to one and a half of a mile is on the highway depending on witch way i go. If I was going some where else then I wouldn't do it.

around here, it seems like a poser move. sometimes i wonder if they're really going out on the lake or just trying to look cool.
