I know there has been a bunch of threads about wakesurf wake on the 211 but I have one issue I hope to get a little help with. I have a 07 211 and the wake on the drivers side has a rooster tail that gets in the way. Is there any way to get ride of the rooster tail?

RE: Off side wakesurf wake 211
it's caused by the direction the prop spins. basically if it spins left you'll surf the port side and vice versa. i've heard of people getting a surfable wake on the opposite side you're "supposed to do it" but most often it doesnt work.

I have one friend with 05 211, which is RH rotaion and we can set that upto surf both ways, no problem. And the starboard side is really good.
On the other hand, I have another buddy, who has an 07 211, LH rotation, and we spent half a day trying to get even a marginal surf wake out of it on the starboard side, even with a decent amount of weight. Port side was rideable at best.
There is a huge difference in the rotation on the two boats, and not opposite setup equals.the WakeSlayer

Next weekend starts the testing to see how good I can get. I think I will start with 250 lb bag in the front on the side. 150 lb in the ice chest and then 400 lb in the compartment in the back. then I will play with the center tank.

I've had a good surf wake on both sides of the 07 SV211. I don't have a monster amount of weight either.
Play with the wake plate. Mine makes the best surf wake with the plate in slalom mode.2001 Ski Nautique / 2007 SV211 TE (gone but not forgotten)

I know this is an old thread but I just today bought a 07 SV211TE as I got a great deal. However I am also a goofy footed surfer. Was wondering if anyone worked the best setup with standard ballast and hydrogate settings. I would be willing to put in extra water ballast with the existing pumps if that makes a significant difference but not all that excited about lugging external gas or lead. Thanks.

I'm far from an expert, but here's what we've found with our 08 211TE. Best: Port tank 100%, Starboard 20%, Belly 60%, sister-in-law seated rear port, gate @ 50%, slight turn to port, surf port. For Starboard it seems the opposite setup except belly @ near 100% though result is not as good but surfable by folks under about 160 lbs. Water depth also makes a huge difference and we'll occasionally have to play with things a bit.

I just started surfing on our 08 211TE. I have found port side surf wake to be much cleaner than starboard side so we just surf on the port side. My best setup is stock port side full, stock belly at 50% to 75%, heaviest person sitting in the back port corner and everyone else on the port surf. Speed 10 MPH. Surf wake is OK in this setup and gets better with more people. Now to enhance the surf wake, I added a 400 lb Fatsac to the port locker and that together with the setup above, produces a good wakesurf wake for this boat. I have noticed however that I do get some water running back into the engine compartment when the boat is weighted that much as the vents can be below the water so keep an eye out for that.
