I was the one that posted this originally. I had to change my user name because I forgot my password. I have changed things since then. The first thing I did was pull out the hard tanks. Best thing I could have done. The second thing was to plumb in a 1100 pound bag on drivers side and 750 on the other. I have 200 pounds of lead I keep in the bow. I move that side to side. I have a 440 pound bag I use on top of the walk-through when surfing that side. If there is only a few of use I add another bag in the bow that we roll from side to side. I have not noticed much difference how much water is in teh center tank. With all the weight on the drivers side it is a much better wake. The rooster tail is much smaller. One huge bennefit is the storage space since the tanks are gone. I can put three skim style boards in drivers side when there is no water.

Bringing it up to the top again...
I have an 04 SV211 the hard tanks are out ( except for the belly tank) and they have been replaced with sacs, I tried a lot of different setups on holidays a couple of weeks ago, and no matter what I did, the wake was always washed out. I had about 300 lbs in the nose Port side and center tank full. In the back I had the Stbd sac 1/2 full and the Port side pretty much full. 5 adults and myself ( 4 of the heaviest on the Port side and the smallest behind me on the Stbd side). I had a rag stuffed into the bilge, vent, tank outlet holes ( still ended up with a bunch of water in the engine compartment). I had the gate set in the slalom, and tried it in different positions as well. I tried moving the people around to different areas of the boat, and also with a slow turn to the port side, as well as going straight, but no luck, I always ended up with a washed out wake. I have the stock prop, and I couldn't get the boat over 9.4 - 9.7 WOT.
Any hints or ideas are greatly appreciated.

On top of factory, I had 350 on the port walk-thru, a 370 tube sac under the bench seat, and a 350 on the floor of the bow. All this with two adults and a few kids. Nice long pocket and good push. We tried to combine 2 sacs into one large sac on the walk thru but it washed in a major way, hence my comment about you possibly having too much weight. With a left hand prop, I could never get the goofy side (stbd) as clean as port -- is the 2004 a right hand prop?2010 Super Air Nautique 210 Team Edition

You bet, I was going to buy an acme 1578 prop before going on holidays, but ran out of time before we left. I wasn't sure if the lack of speed might be one of the causes of the washy wake. I actually did a search on the 211 surf, and came across one of your old posts. I was trying to copy your setup. I didn't take into account the weight of all the extra adults. The closest I can tell are that the sacs that the previous owner put to replace the hard tanks were 400 pounders. They're about the same size as the 400 lb pair of fly highs that I bought from wake makers. I also bought the long tube sac, but I never did fill it, I figured I had enough weight in there.

Hmm. Yeah, a touch more speed should help clean it up. See if with less load if it'll clean up, then gradually add some weight. A 400 lb sac on the aft corner shouldn't be too much at all. Maybe too many of the crew were in the back of the boat...spreading the weight fore and aft should help. Keep trying, I spent a few days getting it dialed in! I have a 07 sv211. I love it. Recently added more ballast and were able to get a good long wave on the starboard side.
Setup:
factory ballast: belly and starboard-full
Hydrogate not set. It seems to wash out if we set it.
Added Bow fat sac under the seats 600# approx
Added tube fat sac on the floor in the middle walkway. Between driver and passenger side. 600# approx
Added fat sac under starboard side in the back. 400# approx
2 people in boat on starboard side
Very smooth and long wake.
I switch it for port side, tube sac under the seats, 400# sac under the back walkway. perfect wake.
