Fatboy - there are gators in all Florida lakes - just don't ski or wakeboard at night. Some other questions are: how deep is the lake and what size in acres? Some of the smaller Florida lakes (65 - 100 acres) only have 6 - 12 ft of depth. Anything less than 10ft and you get bounce back from the bottom which will reduce the size of your wake (great for slalom)...
