I want to replace the ignition panel and stereo panel. The corners have cracked and broke off mine and the clear protective film is cracking off. They arent faded or anything, just falling apart and it bothers me. its the only thing left on my boat that bothers me.
I have no idea what it broke down to. I just got a lump sum w/ everything. I had my rear deck recovered a couple years ago for 175. at a local shop. Another shop wanted 425 to do it. Anyway, the place I got it done used a slightly different burgundy. I wanted to keep it when Christines re-did it, however, they couldnt find the pattern to it and had to cut mine up.
If you shoot Christines an email, they will get back to you pretty quick.
I just recieved a price quote from Nautiqueskins.com for $3000 to replace ALL skins on a 99 SS/SAN. I was hoping for a $2000 number or so. If you do not mind me asking, what did you pay and did ALL vinyl surfaces?
If I remember correctly, I paid 4200 for a complete vinyl kit, installed, had a jump seat re-covered as well as a new driver seat track installed. Track was about 35 and I think it was 100 for the Jump seat re-cover. So maybe just above 4k. And again, thats installed.
Just received my quote from local CC dealer. They want $5400 for the skins. Looks like I am going to order from Christine and George. I also received my color samples in the mail today.
I already ordered a pneumatic stapler that shoots 3/8" x 3/8" T50 staples (recommended by George). Found the SS staples at Home Depot. Just need to order the Weldbond HHR contact cement and I am good to go.
