    tower install 87-89

To any of you that have mounted a tower on a 87-89 SN with the front legs on the vertical deck under the windshield ... Can you get the front portside leg bracket installed ahead of the glovebox in the horn box? Can you gain acess to all the mounting bolts through the vent opening or is it split fore and aft of the glovebox. The starboard is much more accessable as far as I can see.

Check with new dimension. They sell a tower for that boat that is a clone of the Flight Control Tower.

New Dimension towers mount differently. I'm using a Joystick and want the front legs on the Vertical deck under the side windshield.

        RE: 87-89

        Hey buddy,

I did the EXACT same thing on my 89 2001 and no problems whatsoever. It pulls great, installed great (I had to cut the foam back quite a bit) but it's awesome. I'm installed on the vertical deck on the side under the side windshield, exactly where you are talking about. I was a little nervous there as the plates are rendered less useful, since you're pulling vertically, but I haven't had a single problem and probably 2 months of operation. I'm a pretty big dude at 220 or so, and I haven't had a single problem. it's solid as a rock. Much, much more solid than the 10 foot pole I had on there... hit me up at travisfling@hotmail if you want and I'll post some pictures as soon as I can get the camera from the wife!!! Take care,
