230 and 236: Are these the same?

I have not test driven/ridden either of these, but I see from the website that they share identical specs (length, beam, draft, weight, ballast and capacity).

Aside from style, are there any differences in performace, wake, accesories, etc? It looks like the towers are different - any purpose to that?

What would compel a person to choose one over the other? Is it price?

Is this something NautiqueJeff can answer?

I would hope the ski wake is a little better, but I wouldn't bet on it. As for the towers, I think what you're seeing is the FCT (std) vs. Titan (optional) towers. Definitely go with the Titan if you have to raise and lower it. I saw it demo'd and it's AWESOME.

Jeff is definitely the one to answer.

The 230 is the wake Hull designed for wakeboarding
The 236 is the crossover hull more of a do everything watersports boat, but you are not going to get a great ski wake behind any 23 foot boat.
      different Towers are Options.

Hum, when I bought my 230 the factory rep said the only difference was the interior and graphics. But that they had the exact same hull.

if you look at the specs they are almost identical if not exactly the same

the 236 wake is ok, but super washy and super bad about washing out with the slightest weight adjustment too. i would not reccomend it for the serious boarder

couldnt agree more. go get the 206 if you are serious about throwing down some serious water boarding maneuvers. and the 206 has the best tube wake of the century!

                Huh,

I don't know why somethings are said here. But the 236 and the 230 are identical boats. Only difference is the interior upholstery design. Even the graphics, tower, ballast, everything which can be ordered on a 230 can be also ordered on a 236.
The wake on a 230/236 is great for wakeboarding. Coming from the "old" 210 hull (the first Super Air) I would dare to say this is the best wakeboard hull ever made. But this is personal. I cannot imagine that the ski wake is much fun though... The wake isn't washy, and it's one of the stable wakes I have been riding. The wake can take wrong weight placement in the boat (left/right).
The 230/236 comes standard with a FCT tower. I still like these tower the best from style, function and it's super sturdy. But to be honest, it's a *** to fold it down. The option Titan towers supose to be a little bit better.

They are indeed the same. I have a 236 and with the team package/ options it has everything a 230 team would have The only actual difference is that the team 236 still has the crossover prop verses the power prop on the 230 team
