Star Gazer question, accelerating through the course??

Not sure if this is the right place. Just installed star gazer, it seems to enter the course a little slow .5 mph and gradually speed up through the course, times are ok, but the skier can tell that we are speeding up.

Shouldn't it be at speed as we enter the course? It consistently does this.

    Any way to solve this?

    Thanks.

RE: Star Gazer question, accelerating through the course??

PP has AWESOME tech support. If you call them, I'm sure they'll have you fixed in no time. The 1/2 mph slow thing has me a bit perplexed. I don't think the 1 and 3 ball settings would affect the speed prior to going through the gates. Once the SG sees the gate magnet, it throttles up. But on our SG, we come through the gate at 34.9mph. I think in your post on BOF I saw that you were somewhere around 33.7 or so. That's WAYYYY slow to enter the course.

did you go through the calibration at each speed?

Sometimes, adjusting the pre-gate setting will increase speed coming into the course.

If I recall correctly, it's designed to come into the course a little hot (about 0.3 mph hot). Did you have your crew weight entered? If you have a short setup and don't enter the crew weight, the system will take a bit longer to hit the sweet spot.

Crew weight is correct and when I test the course with no skier, it comes through perfect, a little hot at start.

It's when I am pulling my skier. I have only calibrated at 34.2 as that is the only speed we ski.

          Thanks.
