hard tanks for dd air nautique center ski locker?

    Hey everyone,

I am new to the board. I have recently purchased a 99 pro air nautique and love the boat. It has the stock ballast in the back and throws a nice wake with 5 or 6 peeps in the boat. I know the newer super air nautiques have the center ballast tanks. We are thinking of addings some additional ballast and I was wondering if correct craft would do a factory install of hard tanks in the ski locker. You could easily fit 400-500 lbs in the ski locker in the middle of the boat. If not how difficult would it be to plum a fatsac into the stock ballast tanks.

    Thanks

    Brandon

Brandon...I would like to see pics. of your boat. I have a 99 Pro Air as well. A fat sac in the ski locker and a fat sac in the locker in the back (above the balast tanks) I am told, puts out a nice wake. I'm in the process of finding fat sacs for both. GOTWAKE owned a 98 Pro Air and said when he had it weighted like that, the wake was great. Your right, loaded with people in the boat, the wake is awesome. Matt

ours is a 99 pro air but has a 2001 FCT tower....the person we bought it from had a new tower installed on it...we have since added board racks but they are not seen in this pic. I really like this boat b/c it has the handeling with the direct drive, throws a great wakeboard wake and I can still slalom behind it. Its one of the best combo boats i've seen. The slalom wake is not as nice as a ski nautique but its not bad....much better than a V drive and other boats i've ridden behind. It works really well for me. I wakeboard ski prob 70/30. Here is a picture. It only has around 300 hrs on it....pretty much loaded except for perfect pass which we may add later. Do you have any pics of your boat.

Nice looking boat, great color combo. I also have '01 Flight Conrtol tower. I put on '04 graphics this past winter. Look under "Show Us Your Nautique", my boat is under "99 Pro Air (with 04 Graphics). Our boat has 220hrs. I bought it last year from North Alabama Nautiques. I love the boat. You're right, it is a great all around boat that throws a pretty sweet wake when weighted properly. I put on a new Acme 4-blade this past winter and notice a better hole shot that the stock OJ 4-blade when the boat is weighted. I tried an new Acme 3-blade but sent it back and swapped for the 4-blade. Enjoy the boat!
