The locking gas cap vs alarm thread got me thinkin'...Our 211 is on our side yard, but is visible year round, so I was wondering what any of you do to protect your boats and trailers from being hooked up and towed away.

RE: Boat/trailer security
I have 3 Trailer devices that work for most situations: One locks into the coupler (for when the trailer is not hitched to the car, and it is a trailer "ball" with a locking mechanism designed to prevent anyone from hooking the trailer up to a tow vehicle); another which fits onto the ball mount/car (its a large pin with a lock on the end and replaces the pin that holds the ball mount to the car); and the last one locks the trailer to the ball (it's a safety pin that locks). These are available at most places that sell ball hitches and on line ball mount retailers. I had heard of another that works with tandem trailers and involves heavy chain and a padlock with the chain threaded through the adjacent wheels of the trailer.2010 Super Air Nautique 210 Team Edition

RE: Boat/trailer security
I have the Ball-lock, and that's all I worry about. It's a 2" ball that goes up in the trailer's ball spot and locks in there. works great. I guess I'm a little worried about the stereo, but if someone really wants it, then they'll get it anyways...

Well, when I leave the boat at the cabin, I pull the tower speakers and then pul the entire tongue off the trailer and throw a padlock on one of the holes in the "stub" of the trailer that is remaining. If someone REALLY wants it, its theirs but it will take some serious planning and work to get it.Player\'s Edition SSN. Pimpin\' the rest....
