tower installation

on a 1988 sn2001

under the mounting feet, massive amounts of foam, what should i do to get rid of it, or do i leave it there and tighten the plate through it

please tell me what others have done

Probably just take a putty knife and chisel it out. You don't want to mount through the foam.

^^^^^^ what he said. Get as much down as you can and if you have a bristle brush drill adapter, that will clean up the area perfectly. Thats what I used.

i cut mine out with a razor knife.....

triangle paint scraper
carefull wire or tube for wire can be enclosed in foam

I used a razor knife as well. Wire brush on a drill would work well, too.
