Wake Surfing on a 1990 Sport Nautique

Does Anyone surf behind a 1990 Sport Nautique. IF so what kind of weight configuration are you using? I have quite a bit of fat sacks at my disposal so whatever it takes.

Also about what size boards are you using?

    Thanks in advance

Did you get any info on this I am instrested in trying to surf on busy lake days and I have 2 450lb sac's that I was going to put in the corner but I need to buy a board first. I also have a 1990 sport.

We have a '00 Air (Sport), and just started wake surfing. Here's what we had set up last weekend, for surfing on the port side.
      - 200 lb. hard tank (left the starboard tank empty)
      - 250 lb. sack in rear locker
      - 600 lb. sack next to engine
      - 250 lb. sack in bow
      - 5 adults, 3 kids

It made a pretty decent curl for a d-drive. I know your '90 doesn't have the rear locker, so you'll have to improvise a little at the back corner.

We surf on a 4.5' Walker Limited Edition. Since I'm 6'1" & 190 lbs., I was worried it might be a bit small, but it works great.

Key is to get as much of the hull in the water as possible. Once you've done that you can compensate to whichever side your surfing and BAM, you've got it. All boats are doable, the big advantage to a V-drive is all that weight in the back of the boat. The more people in the boat the better...for many reasons.

Have fun! I'm a skier at heart, but I love surfing.

Thanks I have some lead bags I can put under the seat and I have 2 450lb fat sacs that I will stack on each other on the left side of the moter and see if I can surf on the port side.
