holy blinding lights batman!

took a night cruise last night in the 230. love the dash and gauges...not including the perfect pass and stereo remote lights. they are so bright and in your face that they completely blind you at night. are there any solutions to reducing their luminosity?

Bypass the dash illum. with a switch. There should be a wire from the nav. lights that powers the dash lights.

if i bypass it, then the light will go completely off, correct? i think an attenuator to soften the light may be a better answer...

There is not a dimmer on the dash? I have an older 210 and the up/down arrow next to the MENU button will dimm or brighten the dash lights. It seems kind of funny that such a 'standard issue' thing like a dimmer would not be on a new boat like that.

just went and followed those instructions. they do inded soften the light of the instruments, but they have no effect on the remote or the PP. what a bummer....

I found it also a pitty that the stereo remote and the PP are different colors then the rest of the dashboard. It's a nice christmas tree, mostly red, with a bit blue/white and a touch of green...

I would agree....the gauge lights on my 2007 216 are OK....actually a nice color and brightness......but the remote is blinding. I had to put a hand over it....or a towel.

Yep, I have had that issue on every CC I have owned with the exception of my 1994.

my 06 220 is not as bad---both the PP and the stereo remote have much softer lights. i think i am going to try to place a piece of smoke transparent film or window tint on each.
