Blake,
I was in the same situation up until an hour ago. After reading many forums on the subject, I decided to buy a pair of observer seat bracket legs from nautiqueskins. My idea is to locate the legs over the stringers for support and also weld two pieces of angle aluminum between the two legs. Use 3/4 hardwood (epoxy ) for seat and back ( contoured ), marine foam and skins. Just my idea. My concern with many of the others that I have seen is the likelyhood of water retention in the inclosures. I haven't heard of anyone making one like this.
