I forgot to ask, how fast did you normally ride with the 220? I read somewhere that with weight you had to run it close to 25mph to get the wake to clean up, that's too fast for my old bones...
w/ the 220 i was riding around 24-24.2 mph, gps verified. some of my other crew were riding up to 25 mph. on the 220, we were running wake skaters at 22 mph w/ zero ballast and the wake was still large. when we started adding weight to the 220, we had to pick up a lot of speed. on the 230, i am running around 23.5-23.7 mph, non gps verified. we add weight but doesnt seem to necessitate a lot of speed at this point.

i already have a 200 and i never do the same thing twice, hahaha!
I have a 220 and i ride every day at 23.2 (gps verified) and wake is clean. i run stock + 1600lbs. the only problem i have found is that it is side-to-side weight sensitive so it tends to wash on the opposite side the rider is on because the rider pull leans the boat towards them. i also run 20-21 with no ballast for beginners and wake is clean.
Here are some pics from KNOXWAKE.COM of the 2008 210 wake loaded down with just 2 people in the boat. Representing the K-Town boys very well I might add. Check out the website for the rest of this set.
I know this post is about the 230 wake and what not, but I thought everyone would enjoy seeing what the 210 wake looks like. I've ridden behind this green boat and it is absolutely sick how big the wake can get.

HAHAHHA.... I know the answer to this one but I'll let worm answer. BTW, I rode on worm's 230 yesterday and the wake is awesome for both wake and surf. If I was to change boats I would definitely be looking at 230's. I really like the center walk through to the deck among other things.
Worm,
how much weight do you have in that 230? Stock is around 800 correct? Does your 230 match your 220 for wake surf?
thanks
here is another shot from saturday. we were riding some custom boards that were very fast. we could drop back 20-25 feet into the pocket and w/ a little bit of work we could still catch up...
Nice... The great thing about the 230 is the possibilty to surf both sides.. Didn't succeed with the old 210, so this is good news for us.
We can wakesurf the 230 both sides with just standard ballast, a driver and one additional person on board!
loaded the 230 up yesterday with about 800 pounds of weight yesterday, 150 in each rear compartment (as far back as possible). 250 in the ski locker, 150 in the nose of the bow and 50 on under the two side seats in the bow. Also had 4.5 people (1/2 person=little kid) while I was riding and the wake was monsterous. I was riding at 80' (could have easily rode 85'-90') at about 24.2 mph. The one thing I noticed is that when you start to load this boat down the top of the wake seems slightly more rounded rather than lippy, I would definitely agree it feels like a super loaded x-star. Sorry no pics but if I go out tonight I will see if i can dig up my camera.
By the way I started using lead weights that attach to the front of john deere tractors and they are not quite 50 lbs but they had a sweet little handle and are thicker but easier to handle, price per pound is slightly cheaper. I have just been borrowing the ones from the two work tractors thinking of investing soon
