Belly ballast full, rear ballast 50%.
    23,5mph.
No additional weight and 4 people (2guys, 2 girls) in the boat.
65ft line with 5ft handle. So 70ft in total.

Pics don't do justice. This wake is great!

The engine is fueled by LPG (propane) stored in a pressurized bottle similar to your backyard Weber.

?? Gasoline in Holland is currently about 10 $US/gal.

?? Propane is about the same as US....about 70 centsUS/pound.

Plus....gets rid of the fuel pump and FCC....and you might not ever need new spark plugs.

Airtool is right. 90% of the ski boats in Europe (well in UK, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands at least) run on propane.
Petrol is above $10,- US/Gallon and even around $12,- US/Gallon in the harbour. While LPG (propane/butane mixure) is around $4,- US/Gallon and availeble at every petrol station.

Our 230 also runs on Petrol if needed. Just a flip of a switch. The LPG conversion is really easy, everybody can do it. Only it's recomended to let it check by official instances because it's still fuel and explosive. The 2 best sides of LPG are: cheap and it's better for the environment then petrol or diesel.

BSBell, just go for a 230. In my opinion it's the best boat CC make right now (and the 196 off course)...

The tanks are from plastic and when empty very light (7-9lbs), they are removable and refilleble at every petrol station. You can fill them with approx 5gallons of propane (max 80% filling due to temperature differences), so that is enough for an hour of wakeboarding. The rear trunk of the 230 fits 6 of these tanks with ease, so you will not run without of fuel for an evening boarding. If you do, just flip a switch and the boat runs on petrol.

This winter I'll make a short LPG conversion description with some pictures to clarify.

with running propane, I wonder how they are able to tune the engine to keep it from running lean or rich?

                      Same as a gasoline....

Measure throttle position, O2 in exhaust, engine speed, yadda yadda and pulse the injector to let in the proper amount of fuel.

                        Worm,
how much weight do you have in that 230? Stock is around 800 correct? Does your 230 match your 220 for wake surf?

                        thanks

not sure what stock is, but i think somewhere 800 around is correct. i am running the stock full, w/ the belly sack full at around 400-500 lbs (using the same sacks as i had in the 220). those pics are w/ the stock prop. i recently have repropped it to an OJ 475. the wake lip is now cleaner than the one you see in the pics. shape is very similar to a SLAMMED original X Star/X2/now X1, only wider. we havent had the need to slam it yet, but will do so soon now that we have the power prop on.

                          wake surf
---you cannot beat the 220 for ease of making an awesome wave (i think due to its weight sensitivity). it throws a big, steep (good for airs), semi long pocket w/ a 750 filled in the surf side locker and 400-500 lb sack in the belly locker. it seemed irresponsive to hydrogate position and liked around 11.5 mph (both sides). the steepness can be intimidating for beginner riders.
---the 230 can handle more weight and is also more sensitive to hydrogate position. we are running the 230 @ 12 mph, hydrogate at 2. w/ the same ballast set up as the 220, you get a longer pocket that isnt quite as steep. throw another 750 on the seats on the same side, and it gets unreal. it picks up the same steepness as the 220, and maintains the same long pocket as before---allows you to charge the front of the pocket harder to snap the board...

overall, its a trade off. i would take the 220 interior hands down any day over the 230. it also makes an easier surf wake. it is weight sensitve, but i can handle that. the wake---still trying to figure out which i like the best...

I forgot to ask, how fast did you normally ride with the 220? I read somewhere that with weight you had to run it close to 25mph to get the wake to clean up, that's too fast for my old bones...
