Just wondering what the trick is to balancing out the wake on this boat. It throws great wake when there are no passangers in the boat BUT the more people you add the more the wake gets washed out. Would more ballast placed around the boat help? I absolutely love this boat but maybe the 210 or 230 would be better? Any thoughts?

Took the boat out today and balanced the boat weight wise as best as I could then headed out on the board. Works much better. Speed also played a big part in keeping the wake right. Looks like balance and speed is the key. Thanks a lot for the responses.2008 SANTE 220

This may be too obvious, but make sure you have the lever for the wake plate pulled all the way back for wakeboarding, and forward for surfing or cruising.-Jon

my buddy has a 06 220, we have tried everything to get the boat to kick out a even wake with passengers. the trick is when you get a bout 10 people on the boat it starts to stick real low to the water and the hull can actually support that kind of weight. and it kicks out a even wake. with just me in the boat its dead even

I spend about the whole summer two years ago riding behind and driving a 220. Loved the boat but I was starting to be convinced that the boat had additional weighting on the port side to counter the drivers weight. I loved this when it was just two people taking sets but when u got more I noticed the uneven washing too. Speed definitely helped and so did about 8 lead plates positioned all over. We put quite a bit in the nose and the rest we kept so the could be moved side to side very easily. Does anyone know for sure if the port side is weighted more to counter the drivers weight??1990 Sport Nautique
