porpoising zero off

I know there was an earlier discussion on this, using the zero off and the boat porpising but there was no fix just an explanation thats it is working and it was doing its job, but with two months of wake boarding it is really getting annoying .Any help or fixes in the future? I have a 2008 210 my friend has a 2008 210 and another buddy has a 2008 220 and they all porpoise and will not stop until you reduce power or sometimes play with the hydro gate. Have also tried moving the extra weight around but that doesn't help. thanks.

My new 2008 210 does the same thing

:| I just bought a new 2008 210 and have noticed the same thing. Porpoise in smooth water from only a few ripples. The worst is I had it pull me out of a few tricks. I put 3.5 hours on the boat and have it back at the dealer now. This is my first Nautique and Im not terribly impressed...

How'd you get a 09?? Did you get the sub woofer setup? Any pics? I hear they moved it outside?

What do you mean by porpoising?

when riding over small or large boat swells the bow starts moving up and down and the motor pulses which keeps this situation going util you turn off the zero off. It stops instandly after you cut off the zero off ,with the speed staying the same; which shows the zero off is causing the porpoising.

I suggest that you check your ZO software version. A upgrade may fix the problem that you and your friends are experiencing. It can be easily done by your dealer. Since the ZO came to market there have been a number of updates. I have updated our 08 210 from version J to P.

Have you emailed ZO? In recent time they have been replying to enquiries and providing solutions to problems.

I have talk with my dealer which is one of the larges in US and they know of the problem and so does Nautique, but said as to date there was no fix. Have email zero off tec. dept. twice and even called but they will not resond to my email or return my call , it's like they know they have a problem but do not want to talk about it because they have an excusive with Nautique and fear they will loose their contract if they acknowledge there is a problem but have no solution.

Nah, they're not worried about losing CC. Their customer service just sucks.

Yes, there is a fix for this now. There's a software update and a new style GPS antenna. You need both to fix the issue.
