I think there's a pic of that boat @ a dcok with 4 or 5 sacs on the floor w/ the platform 3-4 inches under water as well

Originally posted by N2OrbitI had my boat painted in 2002, and the paint held up, very well. As a matter of fact the paint had a better shine was easier to wipe down and did not fade in the sun like gelcoat. I say go for it, and invest the money you save from not using gelcoat, in some good bumper for docking. You could also consider, using a custom vinyl wrap. A local shop claims, they can vinyl wrap over my custom paint with a clear wrap to protect it from amage.

Sorry for being a wise guy, but that boat does nothing for me. Just looks like MTV's "Pimp my Ride" got ahold of a once premier 3 event boat. IMHO of course.'08 196LE (previous)

I saw a flat black almost identical to this boat the other day at Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas. Due to the look of the tow rig and trailer, I am not sure it was done very professionally. There were a couple of early 20's kids in the boat. Doubt it was the same one.
The boat in the pics is pretty slick. The flat black I saw did not look near as good in person as it does in pics.
