Just buy yhe liqued pledge in a spray bottle. will not harm and is alot cheaper than anything out there. Not the can arosal type, the pump spray bottle. works great.
    Life long Nautique guy
    Will ski anytime.

Yeah, some of the non-boaters really do suck... but some of them really don't. Yesterday, my bud and I went out in his '91 Skier and were joined by two fun ladies for whom we didn't have to wait at all.

I hate it when friends complain that $35 for gas, food and lodging is too much when they come up to the cabin for a weekend. I dont think they realize every weekend is costing me hundreds to just own the cabin and boat much less pay for insurnace, gas, food, and maintanance. Then they really piss me off by telling me I should buy a better stereo for my boat as if I didnt have enough payments the way things are. As for help cleaning, I would much rather do that myself, nobody else does a good enough job.

I should add, not all friends are like that. I have a couple that come up and offer to help pay and they will take a couple hours to help me fix the boat or put a new deck on the cabin.

OK my turn... get ready cuz this one sucks... and what sucks more is the only people we can get angry at is ourselves...

Fortunately, we have a choice of two lakes to go to. However, we go to our second choice lake commonly b/c our friends have a house on it. The thing is with their lake, its kinda dammed river... the water level changes very often and because of this... so much **** crap is in the water! We see killer logs the size of trailer guide posts with a foot diameter! Just yesterday I saw a SUNKEN BOAT! THAT WAS A FIRST! I don't even wanna think of the cause! It was pointing stright up!

Anyway... a couple weeks ago I hit a log submerged a couple inches so I couldn't see it. The boat jerked to the right about a foot and after we pulled it, we realized that the first fin bent about 45 degrees! that sucked... but fixable...

              now it gets worse...

just yesterday i was skyskiieing when my dad was pulling me and I not only see the boat jerk to the right but hear a loud "BUMP!" from 75' away and music blaring. I let go and ski to the side knowing what had happened. We go back to see what we hit but can't find it. Steering is now off like crap. I know this is mean but first thing that i thought when i drove was "dammit... its driving like a MC..." with the wheel straight it turns tight to the left... to the right it goes straight with it tilting to the right, and then starts to slip as if the rudder is slipping as if there was oil on the joints.... if you let go.. it turns to the left so much that the boat can come to a stop.

So we pull it and immetiatly see water gushing out from where the shaft goes into the boat! The front fin isn't bent, but there is a big "nick" in it like some shark bit it. prob and rudder seem to be ok, but there are marks on the shaft.

Now the boat is sitting in the parking lot of our dealer.... I actually the boat has been there about 3 times more than at our house!

Ok I think I let it out... thanks for this thread.. it helps!

And what sucks... is its inevitable...

BTW... we later found out from guys watching that we hit a 2x6. :bang: :bang:     :bom:
