Need help pricing a boat ('97 Super Sport/SAN)

Well, I can't even believe I'm thinking about this, but at the end of the year I may have to sell the boat. I am trying to get an idea of what I can ask for it and thought I would ask for some opinions. Please keep in mind this is probably one of the cleanest '97 Super Sports you will find. I have added a ton of options to this boat and it is pretty much an older version of a Super Air Nautique except it has more ballast (which is a good thing in my opinion). Let me know what ya think.

    -1997 Super Sport Nautique
    -Around 375 hours
-New Double Axle Trailer in 2007
    -Flight Control Tower
    -OEM Nautique Board Racks
    -Perfect Pass Wakeboard Pro
    -Two-Outlet, 3-Speed Heater w/2 pull-out tubes
    -CD/MP3 player
-12" sub mounted in custom enclosure under dash
    -New interior speakers
-2 amps, one mono amp running sub and 2-channel amp running 6.5's
-Fully Automatic 1500 lb. ballast system, overflows and empties out the side of the boat (400 on each side of engine, 700 in center ski locker)
    -New style billet throttle knob
    -Bow cover and full cover
-2003 style Super Air Nautique Graphics w/silver metalflake
-Custom composite swim platform (this thing is sweet)
-Fusion Tower Mirror Arm and Mirror

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. As you can see, it is well equipped. Here is a pic of the boat also.

My friend that is one great looking boat! I just sold my 97 in April for $22500 and wish I hadn't as my shoulder has healed up now! Mine had similar equipment with bimini and tower speakers.

If you don\'t do it today, you will be one day older when you do!!

JWAT, I remember when you bought this boat. It was a beauty then and it still is!

It's hard to say how much to get for it. You can buy 2000 SAN for under 30k, but those are probably not that nice and well equipped.

      Good luck with the sale!

That is a beautiful boat. I would say you could get an easy mid 20's.

Wow, that is exactly what I want! I wish that it were Spring of 2009 right now. I am simply not in a position to buy right now. Fantastic boat and good luck with the sale.

I just upgraded my boat from an 86 Malibu to a 2000 SAN.

              -2000 Super Air Nautique
              -60 hours
              -Flight Control Tower
              -Board Racks
              -Perfect Pass
              -Three-Outlet, 3-Speed Heater w/1 pull-out tubes
              -CD/MP3 player
              -2 10" subs
-2 amps, one mono amp running subs and 2-channel amp running Tower Speakers
              -Factory Ballast
              -Bow cover and full cover

I paid $26,500 for it, in the northern Illinois area.

The 97 is a popular boat still, it has a great ski wake but also works for boarding so well. I wouldn't think you'd have a problem, I too have a 97 and often have people ask "is it for sale, how much." So I know there is a strong market for these boats. Plus, yours is truly loaded and looks a lot newer then most you find on the water these days. But, I would think you want to decide soon, selling a boat in late fall early winter is never a great time because we're all thinking about snow and you have everyone planning a budget for x-mas.

Thanks for the help and compliments everyone. I guess if the someone made the right offer right now, I would consider selling it. I REALLY do not want to get rid of it, but I may be buying a house this winter and not having the boat would help quite a bit. There is still a slight chance that I will be able to keep the boat as well, but like I said, if the right offer came along right now, I would probably let it go. BTW, I am in Northern Indiana if anyone is really, really interested.

That's a beautiful boat, there, JWAT. I've loved it ever since I saw it and I know you take really good care of it as well. Very, very nice and very, very sad. It's too bad it's not two years ago when you could just get a loan with Stated Income, and not face much of a price bump. (I'm a banker) I wish we were in your area, and I'd see if I could help you out.
Just remember that the house is an appreciating asset (not by much these days) but it gets you on a good path, and all that. I know it's sad, but hopefully they'll keep making more!!!

JWAT - I might have a friend interested....I'm lost in this thread, though. Did you post your asking price or not? if not, please post or PM.

JWAT - would you want to trade some cash plus my 2001? That way you could make your downpayment and have something to ride behind in the meantime? Let me know.
